I truly enjoy being a Benefit Advisor because as I make good use of my strengths and abilities to the benefit of others, I see their lives improve and individuals attain goals and realize dreams. I having been helping people in the Treasure Vally and Magic Valley since 2005.
I was born to hard working parents in Jerome, Idaho. My father, a successful businessman and Idaho Potato Grower, instilled in me a love of learning, the value of a good education and diligent persistence in honorable endeavors. My mother, a caring and skilled Register Nurse at the local hospital, gave me true insight into healthy living, nutrition and exercise and the gratification of caring for others well-being. I graduated in 1982 from Jerome High School with honors and headed straight off to college at the University of Idaho. Starting my sophmore year, I transferred to Carroll College in Helena, MT where I graduated in 1986 with a BA in International Relations and a double major in French . After living and working in Paris and Lyon, France for four years as an American Business English Instructor, I returned to Idaho with a french accent and an expanded knowledge of the world in which we live.
I truly began my journey in benefits when I accepted the Human Resources position at Target in the Twin Falls location. Handling the hiring, payroll, employee benefits, COBRA and health insurance, I came to appreciate the responsibility and liability an employer takes on when acquiring employees.
Marrying my wonderful husband, Thomas Archer,
I moved into the Treasure Valley in 1999. Recently, we moved our home and office to Twin Falls to be closer to Mom…she was born in 1931…still doing well but we want to be closer to help her in the years ahead.
As I was approaching my 40th birthday, I really wanted to invest my time and expertise in a profession to help others benefit themselves.
In 2005, a friend of mine invited me into his insurance office as the Life Specialist
…and there the journey began to unfold.
First, I focused on LIFE insurance products, then added HEALTH insurance coverage, then added AFLAC for the cash resources and finally included the FINANCIAL PLANNING layer. Each stage of my development was in response to a need…either a direct need for our own family and or a need of a friend or client. Ever growing in knowlegde and keeping open to the needs of my clients and community, I am here to help you – and those you know and care about – to navigate the rough waters in which we are living!
On a family note, Thomas and I enjoy spending time with family and friends. We also spend time volunteeering in the community.
Still fluent in French, I am helping French-speaking African refugees maintain their spiritual health with Bible studies in their native language.
